Alfred
Alfred was born in Grenoble in May 1976. He now resides in Bordeaux.
At first he was a self-taught comic strip artist, then he was spotted by the Delcourt publishing house who published his album La Digue at the end of the 1990s.
In 2000, Alfred met scriptwriter David Chauvel, and together they created Octave, a children's series.
In 2004, he directed an adaptation of Roland Topor's novel, Café Panique, published by Editions Charrette.
He participates in several collective works, such as Paroles sans Papiers (2007) and Premières fois (2008) under the direction of David Chauvel.
In 2006, he published Pourquoi j'ai tué Pierre (Why I Killed Pierre) at Delcourt with Olivier Ka, which won the Audience Award and the Prix essentiel in Angoulême in 2007.
In 2009, he adapted Guillaume Guéraud's novel Je mourrai pas gibier (Delcourt). He then moved to Venice for three years. It is during this period that he illustrated several children's albums and began writing Come Prima which will be published in 2013, the most personal album of which he is the complete author. He won the Fauve d'Or for Best Album at the Angoulême Festival in 2014.
In April 2019, his latest album La Belle Saison (Delcourt) is released. It gathers several images for exhibitions at the Cité de Bande Dessinée in Angoulême and of which we publish four images to date.
