Aimée de Jongh

Aimée de Jongh (1988) published her first comic strip Aimée TV at the age of 18. She was discovered by several publishing houses and presses, for which she still works today. Aimée trained as an animator at the Rotterdam and Ghent schools of fine arts. In the meantime, she has written more than ten comic book series and has worked on five animated films. Her daily comic series Snippers(Coloc' in French) appears in a Dutch and a Swiss newspaper; in Belgium, it is mainly her comics for young children, such as Kito & Boris and Slimme Pim, that have made her a household name.
In 2014, Aimée started work on her first graphic novel, for which she also wrote the screenplay: Le retour de la bondrée (original title: De terugkeer van de wespendief). This album gave her an international breakthrough. This comic book was very well received and won the prestigious Prix Saint-Michel for the best comic book of 2014-2015. The book will be published in French by Dargaud and subsequently brought to the screen in 2016. In 2018, she collaborated with Zidrou on the script and published a second graphic novel with Dargaud, L'obsolescence programmée de nos sentiments. In 2021, the incredible graphic novel Jours de Sable was published by Dargaud, and we are editing two editions.
