Audrey Sedano
Born in 1988, Audrey Sedano lives and works between Versailles and Angoulême. Not really destined to be an artist at first, it was only after a doctorate in bioinformatics at the École polytechnique that she turned to comics and contemporary art.
The year 2017 is a real turning point: Audrey founds the Editions du Petit Saturnin in Angoulême, and publishes her first sound comic book Luis et Titi à la découverte de la musique and a series of linocut prints to extend the universe of the book. Soon, an opportunity to make silkscreen prints on the theme of the city of Angoulême is offered to her, it is then the revelation: heritage becomes a passion. She then began the series of comic strips Saint Sat' un pas si vilain petit canard to promote French heritage in a playful and original way. Her scientific background caught up with her and, thanks to augmented reality, she enriched her work with historical and iconographic elements. Everything then follows on from one another very quickly. Her contemporary vision of heritage is seductive: Hotel Chais Monnet in Cognac, Saint-Pierre Cathedral in Poitiers, Charente department, Toile de Jouy museum, cities rich in heritage... And the volume 2 Luis and Titi discovering art is invited to be exhibited at the 2019 Quai des Bulles Festival in Saint-Malo.
The year 2020 is marked by its exhibition Angoulême Augmented at the paper museum, which will remain 9 months, and the preparation of volume 2 of Saint Sat' and the treasures of Angoulême. The images published by Les Courts Tirages are taken from this comic strip and are exhibited at the Musée du Papier.
