Bertrand Gatignol
Bertrand Gatignol was born in 1977. He lives in Paris.
He studied at the Met de Penninghen studio before joining the ESAG (École supérieure de Design, d'Art graphique et d'Architecture intérieure). After graduating, he tried his hand at Matte Painting for the pilot of the film Renaissance, then worked as artistic director for the music video NTM (2001), before moving into the world of television. He then co-created the TV series Paghai with Moonscoop, directed the characters of the series Skyland as well as those ofIron Man. In the meantime, he put his TV series, Mikido, into production for France 3. Today, Bertrand divides his time between creating characters for television series, illustrating children's books and comic books. After Pistouvi (Dargaud), he is putting his graphic virtuosity to work in a dark medieval universe with a new comic strip series, Les Ogres-Dieux - Petit (Éditions Soleil), released in 2014. Les Ogres-Dieux - Demi-sang will follow in 2016, nominated for the official selection of the Angoulême International Comics Festival and for the selection of the Cultura public prize.
