Thomas Baas

Thomas Baas was born in Strasbourg in 1975.
He graduated in 2000 from the city's Decorative Arts school (Claude Lapointe's studio) and very quickly began his career as an illustrator, producing around a hundred children's books for Actes-Sud, Gallimard, Albin-Michel and Sarbacane, among others. He also wrote and illustrated "L'envol d'Osvaldo" for Père Castor.  

He regularly works for the children's press (Bayard group in particular) and the adult press (Télérama, L'Obs, Le Parisien). 

In addition to his work as an illustrator, he is also a poster artist and creates numerous campaigns for different brands such as Nicolas wines, Kaspia caviar tins, Lafayette Gourmet, Rock en Seine.

He also works for the music industry and has been making posters for the Soirées de Poche organised by the Blogothèque for the past 10 years. 

He directed a video for Albin de la Simone and is the illustrator of a video for Pain Noir. 

He also performs on stage in designed concerts with Steves Waring and Albin de la Simone.
